Julian Robinson, LSE Director of Estates Appointed Chair of HEDQF

Julian Robinson has been appointed the new Chair of the Higher Education Design Quality Forum succeeding Prof. Philip Ogden of Queen Mary University of London on the 1st August 2017.

Trevor Wills, Director of Estates and Capital Projects at Plymouth University, joins Ian Goodfellow of Penoyre & Prasad as one of the two Deputy Chairs.

Julian commented:

HEDQF is indebted to Philip Ogden for his outstanding leadership over the last two years. During this time we have secured charitable and limited company status and Philip’s stewardship has ensured we have record levels of membership, a full events programme and a strong financial basis.  I am honoured to be following in his footsteps.  Building on these achievements I want to focus on the following areas:

  • Improving the diversity of the Board of Trustees/Directors
  • Strengthening our partnership with the Association of Directors of Estates (AUDE)
  • Enhancing the HEDQF website and members’ resources area
  • Developing support for an ongoing research programme
