Visit to University of Northampton’s Waterside Campus

Date & Time:5th March 2020

In September 2018, the University of Northampton’s new £330m Waterside Campus welcomed its first students.  Built on a site by the River Nene which was formerly occupied by old industrial buildings including the old Northampton power station, the new campus for 12,000 students and 2,000 staff replaced two former campuses and embraced innovative and collaborative teaching, which has resulted in the radical decision to build no formal traditional lecture theatres.

The new site also allows expansion into the future, which was not possible with the former campuses.

The visit to the campus will include presentations from the university and the architects with lunch and refreshments.
