International study tour to Rome

Date & Time:14-15 March 2024

The University Design Forum is planning its ninth, annual, international study tour – this time to Rome 14-15 March 2024.

The theme of the tour is broadly ‘creative adaptation’ but there are also some new-build projects. The tour will start around 2pm on Thursday 14 March at Roma Tre University’s new Rettorato building and Mattatoio (slaughterhouse) regeneration to the South of the city centre. There will be an informal dinner in a piazza in the historic centre. Friday morning’s schedule will include three projects at Luiss University and a presentation of the proposed new library at La Sapienza University TBC finishing about lunch time, all to the North of the city centre.

An emailed invitation has recently been sent to all members with an Eventbrite link to express interest in attending. Previous tours have been over-subscribed,  members were advised to check their spam box to ensure receipt.

Please note that travel and accommodation arrangements will not be included and that attendance is at your own risk. Please do not book non-cancellable travel or accommodation until your place is secured. The tour fee is non-refundable in case of cancellation by delegates – it includes the Thursday evening dinner.
